I have your mixure for Ditzler Fordson F paint. Do you have a Dupont formula? My dealer can't cross it over. Thanks.

Wes --

Don"t have codes for the DuPont. If you *must* have the correct shades of gray and red, I suppose the next best option is to go to The Fordson House in Escanaba, Michigan. Bring your checkbook, though -- these are their paint numbers and prices, quoted directly from their weeb page:

M-210 Paint Fordson Gray - 1 gallon $42.00
M-212 Paint Fordson Red - 1 gallon $85.00
M-213 Paint Black - 1 gallon $42.00
M-214 Primer (non-sanding) - 1 gallon $35.00

You could also go the "close enough" route, unless you"re going to enter your tractor in a show competition. The red should be fairly bright, and the gray should not be too gray -- more whitish-gray. Story is that the production machines and the assembly lines in the Ford factory were painted with this color gray, and so Henry decided to use that color for the tractor (since he was probably getting a bargain on that color anyway). The rest, as they say, is history.

A final thought: If you could find someone who has used the correct colors on their Model F and could get a couple of small paint chips or (even better) a small amount of leftover/touch-up paint, that could probably be used to help mix up the paint you seek.

Wish I had a simpler answer for ya, but that"s all I got. Hope ya make out OK, whatever ya choose to do.
