Major head gasket selection

When determining what is the correct head gasket for Majors, the piston crown height and type of liner (spigoted or non-spigoted) seem to be the determining factors. It appears there were 3 types of head gaskets mentioned in some books and that some head gaskets can be used in place of others, but not vice-versa. Is there a single head gasket that is proper for all spigoted liners? Does anyone know the current description and CNH part number for such a gasket? Should sealant be used on it?

There is now only one gasket available, the latest one. This works on all engines and was in use when I was in the dealership over 30 years ago. You do not use sealer on it.

Sorry do not know the number but it will also be available from Bareco and Sparex. That's where my last one came from.
