no oil to top end

anybody have any suggestions on why a fordson major deisel will not get any oil to the top end. pulled cylinder head and checked oil port all seems fine.any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

It could possibly be very low oil pressure due to loose bearings on the crank or cam shaft. These get fed first and could be leaking it away. Another possible cause is a blocked filter in the sump.

this is just a thought as i have never touched a fordson. we had a similar problem on a jd40 a few months ago where it showed pressure at the guage but none at rocker arms. there was a plug in the block they forgot to put back in and the oil dumped back to the pan before it got to the top. there could there be a bad plug or a hole in an oil port in the block.
