I have a 1956 Major Desiel, that i am looking to restore, cost me nothing so i"m ahead of the game--
i need a few things so far.
ok the age old paint question
what color blue? is it empire blue? codes? from a supplier also what about the Fordson Orange.
brake shoes?? and brake parts? can"t find a supplier look about as scarce as hens teeth?
fenders - need rear fenders - also would like to get the original engine hand crank i don"t have the handle but also there seems to be an assembly missing that the handle adapts into, what is that called where can i get those pieces?
also we there ever any decals on the 56?
thanks again!

Paint colour = Empire blue all over.
Orange = Wheels only.

Empire Blue and Fiat Orange are available from your Case New Holland dealer. ( I prefer Howard Rotovator Orange myself).

I would investigate getting the shoes re-lined. It is far cheaper than new shoes. I have had mine done and they work well. A breakers may be the best place for other bits but as you don't say where you are located we cannot help further.

By 1956 the starting handle had been deleted on the Diesel Major. You would need handle, shaft, spring, washers and starter pin to fit one.
