Your are about 110 miles from me. I know Steve Framlingham very well from Bawdeswell and i attend his plowing match every year. He is coming up to me to judge a ploughing match I am running next week. What happend to Wrights, am I right in believing they ended up in the Dalgety group with Wigg and Plowright. I wored for a Ransomes dealer in the early 1960s and I used to meet some of you Norfolk lads on the courses they ran MJ

I don't know Steve but I know the Bawdeswell area quite well. Its on my way to Aylsham and the coast.

I don't get too involved in competion ploughing, not good enough, though I did my share of demonstrations with the Ransomes TS84's and 5000 tractors. I travel to Wells-next-the Sea every year to plough for the Air Ambulance and then over to Herefordshire to play over there.

Wright's became part of Dalgety and thats when the rot set in pretty fast. I left and managed another dealer before setting up on my own.

If you come across Mr. R.Pragnell, say hello, ex-HSE and my brother-in-law.

I brought my tractors to Ford 500 and Tractor 2000. Drove them by road1

Well done Majorman. I am only 4 miles to Newark showground and I took my 1956 Diesel Major. At the 2000 event I was one of the ring commentators talking on IH and Case tractors. Well done driving all that way on the road, I have driven my Major on the road a lot but not a journey as long as yourself. I tell other trator men that once you have got to the rally and your are leaving to go home that every time your tractor wheel goes round you will be a bit nearer home. MJ
