Diaphram Housing?

Hello out there!
Anybody have an extra diaphram housing that they don't need. Will be willing to pay a reasonable price as the yards around here won't split and sell just the housing cover. $500.00 seems a little expensive for just the housing cover. You can contact me at 360-893-1461. If you don't get me, leave me a message and I'll get right back to you.
Thanks

Rande,

Few questions:

Are you referring to the outer aluminum housing ??

or the innner rubber diaphram ??

Simms pump or the Minimec pump???

If you are referring to the inner diaphram I think you should be able to pick one up at a fuel injection shop. If you are in the states and do not have a fuel injection shop in you area let me know and I have a shop that you should be able to get one from as they replaced mine last year. If you are looking for the outer diaphram you might wanna check at Oscar's Fordson House if you are in the states. If you are in the U.K I am sure majorman can point you in the right direction.

Thanks,

Scott

Sorry for the mix up. I need the outer aluminum housing for a Simms injector pump. The diaphram, spring and other inner parts are all ok. The housing is cast aluminum and was broken when the injector pump drive washer broke and split the housing. I'm located in the great Pacific Northwest (Washington State) and unfortunately for me there arn't alot of Fordson parts stores. Called all over the place and nobody wants to split the inkector pump for the front cover. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
I'll check Oscar's Fordson house and maybe I can locate a cover there.
ManyThanks

Rande,

When it comes to the Simms and Minimec injection pumps for fordson tractors, most people value them as much as they do gold. The reason being is that they are pretty hard to find and they no longer are being made by Simms or any other company. I have seen a few show up on ebay in the past year or so but mostly on parts tractors.

Have you taken the part to a good machine shop ?? If the housing is just cracked they should be able to TIG weld it back together. If you find a good TIG welder / machinist to do the work it should look like the day it rolled off the line.

Thanks,

Scott

The housing was pretty well damaged and warped out of shape. I'm going to take it to a gentleman that I know who does great things with metal. Don't know if this one can be saved. Thanks for your help.

I have a complete extra rebuilt (it has rebuilt stampings on it anyway??) Simms Vacuum style pump for a 1959 Power Major. I can even test it on my Super before I send it to you. I am also in Washington State. Let me know if you are interested and I would want your old core.

I called your number. I will be in Colorado for a week chasing-retrieving a motorhome project. What I wanted to say was the vacuum canister is a simple device. Couldn't a person use steel or aluminum pipe, machine the id to the correct bore size, weld a cap on one end that is the right depth, drill and tap holes for the vacuum lines, drill a hole for the holding nut. I can get you the specs on my vacuum can and post it here?????

I would try to get the housing from Ken K. $40 is a very good price, even if it is another country. Is your tractor a 1959 PM, serial number 1525004 and located near Poulsbo?

got your message. My daughter and son in law flew in yesterday and I spent most of the day at the airport. Thanks, I think I'll try and get the one from Ken as I took my broken diaphram to a welder to see what he can do. He is either going to try and fix that one or fab a new one.
No mine is a major Diesel with a serial number of 1329650. I think that it is a 1955. I recently purchased it from a fellow up by Lake Stevens. I'm down in Orting.
