super major lift adjustment?

A friend of mine has a Super Major that just doesn't know when to quit (in reference to the 3-point lift)! At idle, when the lift is at it's raised position, the whole tractor bounces (with the 3-point hay rake attached to the lift) because it is continually trying to lift. Is there some way to adjust the stop? The Super has different hydraulic controls than I am used to on a regular major diesel, so I don't know what to tell him. There are a mess of hydraulic controls right in front of the seat, which look like a knob and a lever of some kind, along with some linkages to God-knows-where. Any advice would be appreciated.
FYI, I advised him that he should shut the hydraulics down whenever possible to save wear and tear on his pump, but I think that advice has fallen on deaf ears.
Thanks in advance.

Your friend has an oil leak internally on his Super.

It could also be that the rake is exerting a pull on the top link and causing the problem. A second pin in the top link bracket to lock the top link may be all it needs. I have had this problem with spray tanks full of water that lean back on the lift.

Try selecting "Position Control" (little lever close to the top cover near the main lift lever). This should be in the down position.

Otherwise its a "remove the top" job and fit new seals and "O" rings.

Thanks majorman.
You are a true fountain of information. I will tell him to try both of your suggestions. If he has to tear it apart, I am sure it will have to wait until after hay season, at which time I am sure new questions will surface.
Thanks again.
