Hi,I have a 1923 Fordson F with a Kingston vaporizer that was adjusted as follows: * Loosen the locknuts on the high and low speed needles * Turn both needles down until they seat * Back both needles out 1-1/4 turn * Start engine, and warm up * Open throttle to about 1000 rpm and close the high speed needle until it misfires. Turn the needle back out until it runs smoothly * Close the throttle and do the same thing with the low speed needle. Here is the question. The high speed needle definitely affected the way that the engine ran, and it would run smoothly at high rpm after adjustment. The low speed needle really made little to no difference at slow idle. I even closed the low speed needle all the way, and there was no difference. Shouldn't the engine have died with the low speed needle all the way in at slow idle? All things considered, the tractor starts easily, and doesn't run too badly. However, if things aren't right, they bother me. Any thoughts? Thank you.
