I worked out a Super Dexta from a friend. He had parked the tractor 3 years ago. He was havig fuel problems with it a Diesel. I found the fuel pump weak and replaced it plus having the injector pump cleand up. He had never put any oil in the pump. I got it running for a few minutes and have been fixing things ever since. Rear axle seals oilly brakes many rusty bolts. Yesterday I was stripping the fuel tank and cap. When I got the cap stripped there was information on it saying it was the oil fill cap. Now I know why it gave him trouble always running out of fuel at the pump. The correct cap for the fuel has an air intake valve in it and there it was on the engine oil fill. There are not many tractors that this could happen to, but this is one. He probably laid them side by side when fueling and mixed them up. This mistake caused him to park the tractor and I ended up getting it for getting another tractor going for him. I thought this might be a good warning to all who have these tractors.

Interesting. I hear the same symptom on these forums occasionally.
