Hi Gang;
This is my April 1961 Super Major in original off farm condition, live drive, 7000 hours from new.
When I bought it at a farm sale, the owner also owned a Ford 4000 and had swopped over the rear wheels. The Super ended up with the 4000 wheels and he wouldnt swop them over !!!
Its takne me 2 years to locate a good pair of original Super centres with good rims. Makes the tractor look right now.
Its in a friends farm workshop (not my place) so I claim no ownership of the photos on the wall.!!!

Hi;
This is how I bought it. Runs a treat, can leave it for 3 months, turn the key & push the lever and it strikes up immediately.
Suffers like all Majors from front wheel wobble at speed, so needs kingpin bushes (hopefully not the kingpins as well) and the steering box overhauled. Can now get new steering shafts here for around $200.
One of the left fender upright supports has broken through at the base, needs a small weld.
The headlights work but not side & rear - just needs a new wiring loom from dash accross the rear axle to wire up the lights.
I suppose a good weekend would see it done. Cheers David

Nice machine David.

Has the motor been overhauled since it has 7000 hours on it ??

Is she a diesel, TVO, of gas ??

I would love to have a TVO major but I am not sure if they brought them over to the states.

Seriously, that's a really nice original Super. It looks like all the tin is really straight. The previous owner must have taken pretty good care of it. Have you done any work to it since you've had it.
