Finally got to bush hog with my super major today in 88F heat. Oil pressure went down to 15 psi when oil got hot - is this a problem? If so, how to I adjust oil pressure, or do I need a new oil pump or what? Your advice appreciated - thank you.

I just spent a bunch of time fixing a 0 oil pressure problem, and from what I read, many of the old majors ran with low oil pressure and did just fine. There is no way to adjust pressure, only thing you can do is change the pump, which may or may not improve your pressure depending on if that is where your problem is. Pressure can be lost in the crank or cam berrings as they wear.

Thanks for the info. I suspect I have nothing to worry about, as engine seems to run fine at 15lbs and I have heard that this is normal and doesn't hurt anything.
