My tractor ran out of diesel and I pulled it back down the drive because the starter went out after I added more diesel. My guy put the new starter on and somehow the main gear is now not wanting to move. It's stuck in neutral. Is this something I did pulling the tractor? Any ideas?

I know this may be a stupid question, but is your low range and high range shifting lever in the middle. If it is then it won't got either way.

My low/high lever will move to either low or high. It doesn't appear to be affected. I will check to be sure but I think I left it in low since that is where I usually use it. I appreciate any help.

Pull the top plate off the tranny and line up the shift dogs. The ball on the end of the shifter get worn and will hang between gears.

Thank you so much. If it will ever stop raining here so I can work on it. I appreciate the advise.
