Here's a workout!! My friend Butch P. has a 1926 Fordson with a 1918 rear half. Down by the barn I had a 1926 rear half. I wanted the 1918 rear so a swap was made. I hauled the 26 rear to his place. We split the tractor and put the correct year halves together. Loaded the 1918 rear and headed home. Elapsed time 2 1/2 hours. I asked him before hand if we were going to use Fordson tools. Ha Ha ---Air tools and a loader helped a bunch. Move over Welker boys... :)

In this summer heat, that does sound like quite the workout! I thought about tearing a parts tractor down this past weekend, but 90 deg heat changed my mind! 2 1/2 hours is pretty good time, lining up the clutch alone can sometimes take a 1/2 hour. We talked it over and decided that you and Butch P. can do the next Fordson dissassembly/assembly demonstration and us Welker boys can sit in the stands. :)
