This is a County Super 6 4wd tractor built in England by County Commercial Cars in the early 1960's - this particular one built in 1964.
County developed equel wheel tractors based on the Super Majors and produced them until the late 1980's based on Ford tractors.
The engine is 6 cyl Ford truck diesel engine producing 92HP; the rest of the tractor is basically a Super Major with strengthened clutch and gearbox to cope with extra power.
This one has the original styled Major front cowl which were normally export specification. Home models had a styled fibreglass front cowl to show the difference between the Super 4 which was powered by the standard 52HP 4 cyl Super Major engine.
The traction from equel sized wheels out performed 4wd front wheel assist.
The drive shafts are taken from the rear axles and run down either side of the tractor to the differentials. So diff lock worked on both front wheels and rear wheels.
Highly sought after in England, one in this restored condition would be valued at around $60,000 plus !!!
