Here's what one of those engines looks like. It apparently was used in a truck, since it has a bell housing adaptor that fits to a standard old Ford truck 4 speed. It's 300 cu in. (like the legendary pickup truck engine)
I got mine from a trader who bought them from the estate of a guy who put one in an F20 Farmall. I think I'll put mine in an MH 44. You may still be able to find a later version from a Blue combine.

Hi We have lots of these here in Scotland but i know that is no good to you. They were used lots in combines and are now all going away to scrap to fuel the China economy.

I think I made a mistake on the cubic inches. It is probably 330 cu in, since it uses the same bore and stroke as the diesel Fordson Major.

I've heard that the Ford 'Dorset' industrials used in Ford 642 (built by Claas) and New Holland 1400 and TR70 combines will bolt in, just that you need to lenghten the frame rails and hood, and modify the front axle mount. I'm considering buying a second 1400 that needs some work; I may just buy it for the heads and part out the rest. What would a good engine like that be worth? (380 cubic inch, 110 h.p. at the flywheel, supposed to be very good condition) I think Bluepaint was also looking for one of these a while ago, for the same project.
