Hi,
I am basically new to Tractors and have purchased an old 1963? Model fordson super major. I need a workshop manual and are not sure which one to purchase. The Tractor is blue, 4 cyl diesel, made in England (although I'm in Australia and purchased it here) and the serial number starts 3R 61 (i assume this means a 61' model?) It is a four speed, 3 point linkage with PTO - it also has a belt drive on the RHS. Can anyone help? Please e-mail me - hepkat@cyberdude.com with what manual I should purchase. Thanks in advance.

Steve,
You have a strange one. Most Super Majors had a 6 speed gear box. 3 forward and 1 rev + hi and low.
The engine/serial number for 1963 should be on the front of the engine block, on a machined part, stamped in and should begin 08C----- -.
You might have an engine from another application or a tractor that has been modified by some other company. Or perhaps Fords numbered differently in Australia.
What ever it is its interesting. These Supers got everywhere. Please e-mail me details.
Regards
Brian
