I recently went in to Jiffy Lube to get a oil change when the guy told me he had some bad news, he said he noticed I had some water in my oil. It kind of looked like some green slim. He said its possibly my head gasket. Is he right and can it be something else?

I have cured a number of cases of oil in colant water as well as water in crankcase oil with K&W BLOCK SEAL, or a similar product that takes 24 hours for the whole process. These were permanent cures.

Green slime would indicate that there is some anti-freeze getting into your oil, either through a bad head gasket, or a cracked block or head. Or if it's a tractor with cylinder sleeves it could be a bad sleeve seal. Or if it's a John Deere 2 cylinder it could be bad pushrod tubes. But then again, if it's a tractor you're probably not getting the oil changed at Jiffy Lube.

What kind of vehicle?
