hello everyone have owned my fathers fordson since early ninetys but did not know of the serial number for model id . the only problem is that i cannot locate it and would like to know where it is situated so i can identify the year / model.ps the tractor is original in every aspec teven down to the paint which is still in great condition as it has and still is shedded thanks again regards patto

Hi Merv
Maybe we can figure out what model it is by the paint color, then someone might know where to find the serial number. Is it gray, dark blue, or light blue?

OK, it should be either a Dexta or an E1A Major.
If its a 4-cylinder diesel, its a Major. If its a 3-cyl. diesel, its a Dexta.

probably on a pad at the front rhs of block, if early ,flange of flywheel housing near starter mounting. maybe 7 digits.
