Has anyone ordered parts from Holland? How did you transfer money? What was shipping costs? Was it a good experience?
Thanks
Les

Found out money can be transferred via bank note transfer, Guilders (Netherland money) are the equivalent to 1.58848
Canadian currency.

Have never ordered parts from Holland. Is there a comercial parts supply source for the Fordson F? (The Real Fordson) Only kidding guys. Since we're on the subject and this is an international site, whats the best source for F parts across the pond? Last year I traded a mint Fordson tank with "Dagenham England" stamped on the end, and a Kingston Carb/Manifold assembly to a retailer in the U.S for parts that I needed. I know I got the short end of the stick, but they had what I needed, and there was no immediate need for the above pieces. Had I known about this site then, I would have gladly traded first with a fellow enthusiast.

Hi Les, I tried to reply to your emails, but I keep getting them back as 'undeliverable'. Sorry about that, nothing I can do about it. I added the parts you're looking for to the site.

I'd like to stress that alle the parts offered for sale on my website are NOT mine, and I do NOT make any money out of it. The only thing I do is putting people into contact with each other, and that's it. Obviously, the majority of people buying stuff are Dutch. There's no reason why an American can't buy from Holland, though, it's just that you can't see with your own eyes what it is you're buying. And yes, payment and shipping can be big issues (especially when ordering gearboxes or whatever). As far as I know, up until today, 3 deals have been made with non-Europeans. I haven't been involved at all with that, as the email adresses of the owners are listed on the site and anyone interested can just send a direct email to get things going. I can't say if those deals were satisfactory or not.

As for supply: I think it's safe to say that for tractors such as the E27N Major, the New Major, the Super Major, the Power Major, the Dexta and the Super Dexta almost any part is obtainable in Holland. The really old pre-war Fordsons are a different matter. I almost never get requests for parts for those, and it's rare that I see such a tractor around here.

Hunting parts is part of the charm of restoring old tractors. Have fun with it. There's lots of places in the US that sell really good stuff for the old Fordsons. Happy hunting!

Thanks Oscar!
Keep up the good work, greatly appreciated!

Do you or can you give a reference for the following Netherland parts suppliers:

Hans Groen
Richard Pit

Will be ordering parts from them and would appreciate knowing their reputation.

Thanks!

Cautious Les

Les, those two are good people. Both have lots of stuff, although mostly for tractors with diesel engines. I've bought stuff from them myself, and we talk on a regular basis.
