Hi, I have a 54? FMD. I have read a couple of posts refering to using implements with hydraulic rams like front end loaders and the like. The most recent was a post from Karl. Karl mentioned a 'jack tapping port'. Could Karl or someone else please describe where this 'port' is located, and if you have the time could you describe the set-up for this type of hydraulics.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Paul,
As you sit on the seat, below your left leg, on the side of the hydraulic control valve, pointing towards the left mudguard is a hexagon plug. Remove this (with the lift arms down) and you are able to fit adaptors etc. that will provide oil for external services. The lift arms would have to be fixed by some means in the fully raised position, otherwise these would go up and down as you tried to work a loader. The control of the loader could be by the normal lift lever. Alternatly a constant flow of oil could be generated by fixing the lift lever in a permanent raise position, feeding the oil to a set of valves in a control bank and returning the oil flow to the tractor rear axle filler cap. A seperate pressure relief valve should be used that is set at a slightly lower pressure than the tractors, so that constant lowering of the tractor lever to reset the internal relief valve is avoided.
regards
Brian
