The 3 ph on the Super Major I am redoing is not lifting now. At first it was fine but when I hooked up an implement and attached the top link to the draft control it began to be erratic--only lifting sometimes. Now it wont lift at all although the remotes seem to be pressurized.

Do I need to pull off the cover and have the seals replaced or what?

John,
Just a few questions:
1. Does the pump sound under load when you operate the auxillary service and pull the lever right up?
2. Are you in Qualitrol (Draft) or Position?
3. Without an implement on. Select Qualitrol, raise the lift lever till the lift just starts to lift the arms from the lowest position. Push hard on the top link. The lift arms should raise and drop as pressure on the link is increased and dercreased.
4.In Position control the arms should start to lift from the lowest point of travel, when the lever is about 1" from the bottom stop on the quadrant. Then come up about an inch each time the lever is moved a little way. You should have total control of the movement.
If non of the above tests is satisfactory, you may have an internal linkage failure. If the Position control bit is wrong, you may have a worn cam roller which is replaceable. This will mean removal of the lift and servicing the linkage and seals.
5. When the lift gets up, does it drop or over correct? regards
Brian
