Folks , I just found a good used injection pump and a pump rebuild kit for less than $200 incl shipping. And there are all kinds of parts available for our tractors over there. any of the old line dealers in the UK (england) can get you parts and they are cheap because majors are like 8ns over there and the exchange rate is $1.80 per 1 pound sterling The most expensive part I checked was those little fender lights that never work $180 pair . I called fergie land for parts

I have taken serial numbers for various Fordson Tractors off this site. Is the Serial No. the same as the Engine No. If No, where do I find the Serial No. on my old Fordson Tractor. If Yes, where do I find the Engine No. on my old Fordson tractor.
I am attempting to restore the tractor, and need the S/N or E/N to trace parts.
Thanks in anticipation,
Les Taylor

I'm in the UK - new to Internet, so hope this works. Try Pocock Tractor Parts, about 50 miles south of me - Tel: [+44] (0)1747 828272 or Fax: [+44] (0)828964 - no email in the ad. - claim to have (possibly)'the largest stock of used parts in the UK'. Loads of suppliers over here - complete tractors and parts. Can still get some E1A service parts off-the-shelf from main dealers for '52 onwards - like filters. I have 3 E1As NOT for sale! - '52 Petrol/Paraffin Major (sick, needs bits), '55 Diesel Major and '62 Super Major.

Try also;

Ken Jarvis (somerset (I think) and
Ron Greet (same area).

If like me, you're into all things David Brown, try Stanley Briggs at Garstang (Lancaster)

Messrs Jarvis and Greet advertise regularly in
Tractor & Machinery and Classic Tractor.

You can get Hold of Stanley on 01995 601821
beware though he's a busy lad!! Just mention Marion and the DB 1490 cab! he'll know who you mean!!
