Vacuum Governed Pumps on Fordsons

Chaps,
May be teaching my "grandmother to suck eggs" but here is a way to check the governor diaphram without striping too much down.

Remove the two governor pipes at the pump.

Move the stop control to the "stop" position and seal the governor pipe hole with your fingers.

Release the stop control.

If it stays back, diaphram OK

If it moves to the "run" position, either fingers are leaking or diaphram faulty.
