Worst Fears Realized w/Injector Pump

Yes, it could be worse. but probably not inside the injection pump. This time upon closer examination I saw gold! no, I mean brass/bronze paste in the dark corners. The conspicious areas had been washed free of this metal dust. The lower end was filled with diesel fuel, not lube oil. now my question has changed. Does anyone of us have an extra Simms Minimec P4596 used pump in good condition they would sell? Is there a best source in the US for either a used, rebuilt exchange, or rebuild my pump. All ideas appreciated. Bill

Bill,
The fact that you have diesel in the lub. system would not have caused your failure. Diesel is allowed into the cam box and governor areas from the pumping elements.
The vacuum governed pumps only had oil in for the initial startup then used diesel for the whole of its working life.
