Your Super Four that now has a six cylinder, is it live drive? Also, did you put the bigger radiator in it? And, is the engine the late Thames Trader type with mechanical govenor or the early pre 1962 with the pneumatic govenor.

Just noesy

Thanks

Steven

I bought Super 4 new because it had LD and converted while new to 6 cyl. The reason I did this was first, price Super 6 was a lot dearer, you could not get Super 6 with LD and it was far cheaper to convert to 6 that way than convert 6 to LD. The engine used was one of the last 590 mech. govern. engines.
I used the original radiator but used Hi cap. 6 blade fan and have never had any heating problems. I used two Fordson bonnets and joined together and used original Fordson radiator cowl. The reason being to keep visability as good as possible. In the cowl I used two internal lights and the external lights. As well as manual instrument panel through fuel tank, I used early type panel under the fuel tank showing oil pressure gauge, normal water gauge was used a oil temp gauge and also the amp meter. The SM hyd. system was replaced with Power Major hyd. system which is less complex and suited our work and is far more reliable. I still have the tractor but don't use it as much as I used to. County 6 cyl. sump was especially made by County to Suit Super 6 and has no relationship to any truck sump. It was a rear well and flared out at sides to get capacity. Not real good on steep country as you lose oil pressure. Regards, LEO
