Hello!

I have a question. Would an exhaust manifold from an FMD fit a Fordson gasoline/paraffin engine? It seems to me that the only difference is that the air filter is connected directly to the inlet on the FMD instead of to the carburettor on the gas./paraf. engine? I believe it is the same distance between the fitting bolts that connect the manifold to the engine.

Am I right in my assumptions?

Regards

Mattias

Mattias,
If your manifold is similar to a diesel one then you do not have a petrol/kerosene engine. The petrol/kerosene manifold is a one piece unit totaly unlike the diesel as it incorporates a vaporiser to enable the engine to run on kerosene. This could be the reason your tractor does not run properly on the diesel/petrol mixture.
If your manifold looks like a diesel one you have possibly got a petrol engine or someone has put a petrol manifold onto a kerosene engine.
The ports may not line up as the petrol and petrol/kerosine engines have less ports than the diesel.
