I mounted a front end loader to my brothers super major and am having problems hooking up the hydraulics.I mounted a 4 way 3 position open center control valve for raising and lowering loader,(bucket is cable operated).I picked up the hyd. pressure from the aux tap under drivers seat. The cylinders are single acting. Temporarily i ran the return line back to the fill plug, to test the sytem. When i tested it the three point hitch would raise when i pulled the lever to raise the loader.Do I need a closed center valve?Where do i plumb my return line back into?Any one have hydraulic schematic? Thanks.

Hallo, I think you can do this very easy, for single acting cylinders you dont need a special control valve. Connect to aux tap under seat, remember to pull out slide-valve under seat (rear arms will freeze) and you do control the front loader with the standard control lever.
It works best in "Auto-pull";handle inside your right leg is upwards.
Good luck, Kjell

i have 2 fordson super majors, one we use and one for parts. The front loader we bought with the tractors is powered independently by a pump that runs off the crank shaft, i favor this system because I don t like to run the pto all the time, i ve also heard that it s a more powerful system.Usint the exsisting valves you only need a pump and small oil tank to make it independant.
