I have (just today) purchased a Fordson Super Dexter - starts fine - but after a few minutes sounds like it's 'missing' - the engine progressively gets slower then stops. Starts fine again and then the same thing happens...any ideas would be most welcome, thanks in advance.

sounds like your fuel filters may be plugged.the vent could be plugged, check by running with fuel cap off.if results are same, replace filters.blow out fuel lines while you have it apart.

This problem is on the sucking side, before the high-pressure pump. Empthy the thank completely, take the main tap out, then new filters of cause, but also the feeding pump (two valves inside) can be worn out. It is always good with the fuel thank filled up
