Super Dexta lubricant levels

I have a Super Dexta and am not sure how to tell whether I have enough fluid in the gearbox and differential.

My owners manual tells me to check but doesn't say how.

Can someone tell me how you check the levels, and what the levels should be?

Thank you

Stephen

I could use the answers to those questions as well. I don't have a manual to look at and have still not found what year it is or how to run the hydraulics. Please help!!!

Diane,

Manual is available from 'Oscars Fordson pages' - look for posts on this board from Oscar for a link. Pick a very recent post though, as he moved the page to a different server about a month ago.

The level plugs (square top) are on:

- the left side in front of the power take-off lever for the rear axle and hydraulics, about 1 hand span up from the foot plate. The fill plug is on the top of the differential.

- the right hand side at about the same height and about in line with the gear levers for the gearbox. The fill plug is on top of the gear box.

The fluid levels are right when the fluid reaches these plugs with the tractor on level ground and not running. I found it easiest to undo the level plug and then slowly fill the area until the fluid started to run out of the hole.

What problems are you having with the hydraulics?

Steve
