I have a 1964 Super Major and under heavy loads the wheels will stop turning but the engine does not bogg down. This is most noticable in the higher gears. I am guessing the clutch is slipping but if so why more noticable in 6th gear? Is there any other explaination. Oh, I have already adjusted clutch rod length as much as possible to no avail.Any help would be greatly apprieciated. Thanks

Hi Shane I would guess that you need a clutch and the reason that 6th gear is worse is that the 6th gear requires the most torque to get it moving so it would slip worse just replaced a clutch in a fordson major do not wait till it stops moving this will cause damage to the pressure plate and flywheel.larry c
