i have a 57 FPM i have reciently had the 3 point arm worked over by a mechanic, ( the shaft seized)
it is working fine now. while sitting on the tractor , there is a lever under the right front portion of the seat, it has a knob that pulls out and then slides horizontal, this apperars to be a valve of some kind. my question is this what is this items function and how do i tell if it is working properly?

thanks kelly

Kelly,

Sounds like you may have a Super Major rather than a Power Major.

Super's have a knob as you describe to divert the oil to external services. Knob in: Lift arms are controlled by the main lever. Knob out: External services that are tapped into the outlet just below the knob, are controlled by the main lever. Safety note: Always use external services with the draft selector lever up as loss of control can occur.
regards
Brian.
