I have a simms injector pump PT NO P82133/RMD J.O or SPE4A75S498 that I am restoring. The front and rear bearings are shot, and the crank shaft is excessivley pitted on the cam lobes. Can I get a new crank shaft and bearing? and where from?
Any infomation appreciated.

I linked in the Abilene Machine site. They have always been good and honest with what we've ordered from them.

If your pump cam is pitted I would almost bet your barrels and plungers will be bad too because that comes from water damage and/or no lube in the pump.

It's always been cheaper for me to exchange for a rebuilt pump than to rebuild them when they have a bad camshaft.

Mal,
I had nearly the same condition as yourself. After an exhaustive search for a good used pump (Simms/Minemec on a FSM) or a cost effective rebuilder. One rebuilder nearby said it was too far gone after seeing it, junk! Then Tom Bitner of Diesel State Line < >Link actually heard of my need and wrote to me. I was very happy with his service and his credentials. He'd be the first shop I'd call for injection pump work now. His price was less than 1/3 of the highest and the work is guaranteed for a year. Good luck, Bill

I had never heard of the people you linked in but it does look promising. Thanx for sharing that with us all.
