Could some one instruct me on how to set the pressure relief valve on a Fordson Major?

Darrin,

The pressure relief valve is adjusted by adding shims under the retaining plate. But why do you think it needs adjusting? Does the hydraulic system fail to lift a load?

You will also need to use a pressure guage capable of reading pressures up to 4000 psi connected into the system. The lift setting is 2000 to 2200 psi.

Unless you know something about setting the tractor hydraulic system, adjusting the valve could be a very dangerous operation resulting in serious injury.

regards
Brian
