Does anyone know anything about this model? I think it is Fordson with a Perkins 6 cylinder. Any information???

It is Fordson Major E27N (the "old" Major). It has a 27 hp gas(?) engine. The Perkins engine was a diesel conversion and I'm quite sure that they didn't install them at the factory. The Perkins engine has a little over 40 hp. The E27N has 60% of the parts same as the Fordson N and 10-20% modified from the N's parts. It was made in the same factory as the N (in England), because after the war they couldn't invest in a new factory, but they needed a new model. It was produced 1945-52. In -52 the "new" Major E1A came. The E27N had the electrical equipment, the hydraulics and the PTO as an option. It is dark blue with orange wheels.

E27N Built from 1945-52 total 236000 built
3 speed transmision standard (non live) PTO 3pl optional
Rear end roughly the same as the later New major series
Perkins P6 45HP
