I have a Fordson Diesel it has a shut off for the fuel. I shut it off and forgot to put it back on started the tractor as it was running it ran out of diesel fuel. I opened the fuel valve but I can't seem to get it started like it has no fuel going in now. Underneath the fuel bowl there is a pump I pumped it until I filled it but I still can't get it to go back into the cylinders. Is there any way I can get it to go back into the cylinder. If it was gas I would just pour it into the carb but as it is diesel there is no carb on it. Thanks Jim

Jim...Been there, done that! Here's the fix. Turn the tank valve on...open the bleed screw on the outlet side of fuel filter & pump the lever on the glass fuel pump until no air bubbles appear at fuel filter outlet...close outlet bleed screw. Open bleed on injection pump and do the same pumping until all air bubbles are gone here also. Start tractor. If won't start, crack open the fuel line fittings at the injectors until all air is out, tighten...then she should start.
