I have a 53FM and the "inner case" bolts fell out in the inside of the governor. 2-1/4 in. and one countersunk. You could move the whole governor back and forth. The tractor ran good. Sooo, I disconnected the suction pipe and the bleed pipe. Then the 4 bolts that hold the gov. together. There laid the 3 bolts...I put them back in, and hooked the guide rod back in the yoke. Then the 4 bolts..etc.. Started it up and it hardly runs..It doesn't want to rev up...I cracked the injector lines, and only the 2 center ones are getting fuel, none at the end 2. Any ideas? Bob

The fuel rail is jambed in the idle position or the spring in the diaphram housing has failed.

Remove the two pipes and the diapham housing. Check to make sure the fuel rail is free to move back and forth. When you tightend up the housing you may have jambed the fuel rail. Also make sure that the diaphram is free to move and that the spring is pushing the fuel rail to the maximum fuel delivery when the engine is stoped.
