The paint on the old Fordson "F" is NOT the same as the familure Ford gray paint we are used to seeing. PLEASE paint it the correct color! When you are at shows, you can immediately point out who used the correct Fordson "White", but looks gray to the rest of the world, and who used Ford gray, such as used on the 8, 9 "N" series, etc.
To answer your question, this color is not an off the shelf type, Fordson House can mix it and send it to you. It was around $65.00 per gallon 5 years ago. It is a good quality automotive paint made by Sherman Williams Paint Co. The Forson house mixes the paint to the correct gray color.
Good Luck,
Doug

I've recently acquired what I think is a 35-37 Fordson F(rubber tires, "Fordson" vertically on the radiator, etc.) This is going to be a major project, but my research indicates the color should be an intermediate blue with orange wheels and trim. Is this correct, and is there a spec for the blue color?

Dear Mike, Gray is the right color. My Father had a 1918 Fordson And it was Gray, It was so strong it could pull a house Cown. No joke. Make sure when running it yo keep the radiator full of coolant. And also the oil! Be Careful when cranking it, It will Break Your arm. Our's took three good Men to push the clutch in. It was a gppd pld tractor? But be careful? That Dam trator almost Killed Me. Very hard to steer? It will work You to Death! And thats no Joke? Clydewendell@aol.com- Clyde W. Kidd

Ryan,
Here is an example of the year 1921. The price of a Fordson started out at $795. It then dropped to $625. By the end of the year the price had dropped to $395. The reason for the drop in price was the Great Depression. Sales went from 71,000 tractors to less than 37,000. Hope that this helps. If you need to know where I got this information from, I got it from the book - Ford and Fordson Tractor Buyer's Guide by Robert N. Pripps, on page 20.
Have a good day
