Andrew posted a message a while back to get some F Fordson talk going. Now I need some help on my Fordson. I got my Fordson together last summer now I`m trying to get the tool`s together to make it complete. The tractor came with some of the oringal tools and I`m trying to get the rest, the fordson book I have is 1927 parts book. My Question I have is did they change the tool over the years. The book says the adajustable wrench is 9 in. the one I picked up is 10 in. the open end wrench Igot is 7/16 by 5/8 and I don`t if I`ll ever be able to aford the plyers. I forgot to mention my Fordson is a 1923.

Hey, I have been collecting a few Fordson tools. But I don't have a manual that shows them. I was wondering when they stopped making them?? Also a lot of mine were numbered. Did they all have #s?? Did the Fordsons with tool box fenders have extra tools? Thanks Jonathan

The tools that I got with me Fordson were a dustcap wrench, the wheel and the hook that is also used as a extition for the wheel wrench. The rest of the tools I picked up at flea markets. They are marked Fordson on them. But the ones that came with the tractor just have a part no. on them and are not marked Fordson.

Hi Guys,

Ref markings on Fordson tools. My 23F has a complete set of tools Including the Wescot adjustible, 2 open ends, plyers, hubcap etc. wrench with claw extension and socket end wrenches. All are clearly marked 'Fordson' and all have part numbers. The only tool not in the box is a screw driver. I have not been able to determine conclusively that the 23F tool box came with a screw driver. I know the later models came with the all steel handle version (also marked Fordson). There is a possibility that the 23F may have been shipped with a half steel/half wooden oval handle screw driver. These were easily destroyed over the years when used as chisels and what ever else. Do not pay the outrages prices being asked on E-Bay for these items. You'll eventually find them at the shows. Trust me. There as some greedy characters out there making a sham of the hobby. As these prices go up for our parts, so does the risk of them being 'picked off' at a show by someone out to resell them. I've gotten into the habit of buying some pieces that I already have. Then I trade off for what I need. I believe this is how it should really work. Good luck.
