I just brought home a Fordson Model F tractor and
the previous owner said it was a 1925 or 1926. I
have not had a chance to find the serial number yet. I need information on how the spark system works. There are some wires coming from the flywheel housing going to the wooden coil box. I
only have one of the four coils. Can I still buy
these? There are also some wires going to the front of the motor but the parts are missing. Any
help would be appreciated.

You can still buy coils, and the comutator housing that you seem to be missing. Call Fordson House in Escanaba, Michigan, phone number is 906-786-5120. They have a great catalog that shows all parts. Also, Rosewood Machine and Tool where you will get a lot more advise and knowledge, but more expensive.
