If you do in fact have a "Super" Major the information I have indicates its Serial number should be either from 1599502 to something above 1619437 or should be prefixed with 08B thru 08D.
Check the top front of the block on the right side carefully. Some digits on mine were very unclear and the "8" in the prefix looked like it had been very poorly drawn freehand!!

Ford part No. E1ADDN-6051-E should be correct for a Super Major and Ford part No. E1ADDN-6051-C is listed as servicing all Fordson Major engines, including gasoline, diesel, and fuel oil.
Hope this helps, Don

To find out if its an original engine, get the clutch casting code and the engine block casting code and compare them, for example, my clutch casting code on my 56 major (it should still apply for a super major) is H29Z, the number in the middle is the day number, the one on the left is the month and the one on the right is the year. If its only a few days off, as in like 4 or 5 then its the orginal engine, if its miles off as in 20-25 days or the code is formatted completely differently, as in different start or end letter (unless its right at the end of the month) then its a different engine.

Thank you Don for your input. But that's the problem, the number on the right side is SO19046
(the 6 is stamped over a 7) This number (13167) was also there right underneath) Yes it is a Super Major, but not sure if this is original motor. Thanks, Bill
