still after some ideas on where to start looking for the problem causing the lift arms to stick in the raised position on my dexta. Are there any tricks or do I start by pulling the top cover off ?? If this is the case, are there any special service tools needed for what i'm going to encounter under the lid?
ps...did i mention i got this unit for a bunch of flowers & a bottle of gin.....runs fine except for a stuck transmission clutch ( stripped & awaiting a new plate )leaky radiator ( recored )& the stuck hydraulics ...oh and it came with a carryall & a pto pump with 200 litre drum & fittings... there is a god....lol... ;-)

Paul,

I think you got great deal on the Dexta. They are quite easy to work on. I have replaced a PTO Drive shaft, the top cover several times and made repairs to the Fuel Injector Pump and I am just an average mechanic. The cover is somewhat easy to pull and special tools aren't needed. Just a couple of strong backs. Be sure to be careful when you lift the cover off and don't bend any of the levers and shafts. If you need the info on pulling the cover, I can email them.

Billy
