I got my 1918 fordson running today. I owned it for about 20 years but didnt get inspired until the state show of ford and fordsons came to my hometown worthington mn.
I can start it with gas in the main tank but am having a little trouble setting the starting mixture for the small tank.
Anyway it runs great and a big thank you to Dan Zilm. I couldn't have done it without him.

It's not pulling the fuel from the strating tank, or you can't meter the amount of fuel from the starting tank??

you can adjust the rich/lean from the starting tank with the valve an the side of the carburator ( what meters the fuel going into the manifold). opposed to the main tank which the valve on the mixer ( at the bottom of the manifold ) controls the main fuel supply.

this applies to the Holly 234 or 280 manifolds.
