I read somewhere that a 30W engine oils has the same viscosity as a 90W gear oil. Is this true & if so, as i use Delvac 1330 in the engine, could i use the same in the transmission & hydraulics ? If what I've read is b/s, could someone advise Me on the better choice of oil to use in the hydraulics. An 80-90W gear oil? The idea being of course to have the least amount of different oils to sevice this & a MF 135, whilst still affording the best lubrication to both machines. I'm in Australia so please take this into account when suggesting brand names, the weight information should be sufficient unless some brand out does all others. Also , I removed lift cover due to lift arms not dropping ( regardless of any weight on them ) & found the control valve stuck. A clean up saw it functioning again. Anyone got any tips whilst I'm inside the lift cover. Thanks for any suggestions.
ps: for those I spoke to about the dual clutch probs..... its fixed.....YEEHAA !!! lol.

Yer looking in the wrong books.

A Dexta should have gear oils like 80-90W in the gear boxes unless it's super cold where you are.

That Delvac oil is the best oil I have found. I run it in everything here whether it's gas or diesel powered.

30W engine oils equates to about 85W gear oil according to manufacturers. Take out the hyd pump & clean pick up strainer. Clean out sediment on bottom of crankcase & replace return filter.
