Gasket for Fordson F carb against manifold

I am restoring a 1925 Fordson F. Gasoline is leaking between the kerosene warming plate and the exhaust manifold (winding path between the carb and the piston). When I took it apart, it didn't seem to have a gasket but I assume there must have been one or perhaps it didn't need one with kerosene. It doesn't seem to me like metal against metal can hold warmed up gas. Any suggestions regarding what can be used (i.e. must tolerate high heat from exhaust manifold and gasoline)?
Thanks!

Mine doesnt have a gasket either. It should seal with just metal to metal it could be warped (can be fixed by filing it flat with a flat file or be milled on a milling machine

Norm,

Do you have the Holley 295 set-up on yours?
