Dennis, you can find a operators manual for the Fordsons at,>Link Assuming>Link the engine is still loose, and a diesel, pull the rocker cover off, get a rubber mallet and give each rocker arm a bump on the valve side to see if all the valves are loose, “make sure the push rods stay in place”. having stuck valves hit by the pistons can make for a bad day! if every thing looks OK close it back up. Drain out any old fuel, clean fuel pump bowl and screen. Probably not a bad idea to replace the fuel filter also. dump in some new fuel, open the bleeder on the injector pump, operate the fuel pump by hand untill the air is bled from the system. Tighten the bleeder on the injector pump. Check all the fluid levels, coolant, engine oil, gearbox oil, and differential oil. With the compression release in the up “released” position, and the stop lever/cable in the stop position, hand crank or bump the motor over a few cylinders at a time to make sure nothing is binding, grinding, or self destructing. Now spin the engine over with the starter untill the oil pressure gauge is showing sufficient pressure for a little bit. OK. This is the fun part, close the compression release, make sure the stop lever is in the run position, and start it up. It will run rough for a while untill all the air is out of the injector system. After awhile if every thing looks good take it outside wipe some of the bird poop and spider webs off, have your girly take a picture of the Fordson and you with a smile on your face and post it here for us to see!
