Occasionally I need to use my Major diesel when it's very cold here in western NY, 0-20 deg F. I have read in posts here that it's not good practice to regularly use ether. I'd like to install a block heater. What's the best model for my tractor? I'm leaning toward a tank type heater, but I'm not sure what's the best way to hook it up. Any advice is appreciated.

I used an in-line heater on the lower radiator hose and it worked great. They do come in various wattages. I have a heater in the block of my Case 580C and it doesn't work as fast as the in-line one I had on the Major Diesel

I live in Alberta Canada where it gets REALLY cold, and my FMD has got a simple inline circulating heater installed in a water line. It works very well, and is much easier to install that a block type heater. I have heard that the best thing of all is an oil pan heater, but I have no idea where to get one, or how put one in.

I could use an inline circulating block heater. Anyone know where I could order one online?
