I think I have a problem with the Simms injector pump. Tractor is approx. 1955 Major and will fire on ether. Fuel is clean and bled to the pump, air flow clear. Kill linkage to injector pump forward. Fuel bleeds from pump but won't make it to injectors when cranking. No pressure out of pump. Tractor sat all winter outside covered and there was water in fuel tank and water and contamination in sediment bowl, now bled to clean diesel. Have removed injector pump and taken to local tractor shop but am wondering if pump is likely problem and if rebuild or replacement pumps are available. Any help much appriciated.

Dugald, There isn't much you can do with a fuel pump other than take it to a specialist fuel injection engineer who will have the necessary expertise and equipment to test it and correct any fault.

Are you sure you bled it properly? What id do is LOOSEN (not remove) 1 or 2 of the nuts at the injectors on the side of the cylinder head. Pull out the stop control and crank the engine and you will see the fuel trickle out if the pumps working. This way you will see if fuel is getting thru to the injectors. I normally include this as part of the bleeding procedure. Good luck
