I bought a s.major with a hoe and loader on it. Problem is the diesel was bad so the owner took it out and converted it to a chevy gas industrial engine. It works Ok considering how the bell housing and engine hook up( lots of welding) I would like to possibly go back to original diesel. So I am wondering if any one knows of an old parts machine or a rebuildable motor. My gas motor revs too high and has little low end grunt. I am in Utah. Thanks a mill...!!!

I bought the tractor for parts but found that it does run. It smokes white while running so it may have a bad headgasket. My mechanic and I took a look at it last summer but his wife had chemo theraphy so he wasn't able to get back to it. He thought that it may also be the injector pump and/or water in the fuel. It should be a good candidate for a rebuild. $300.00 for the engine which includes the head, waterpump, block, and internals. I paid $850. for the whole tractor which has a loader and backhoe. If you need a parts tractor you can have it for $850.00 email me and I can send a picture.

That would be a great buy and I would buy it right now but Utah is about 2 or 3 thousand miles away. Not worth shipping that far. Thanks so much for your reply. Take care.

Rich.
