Dear all,
I managed to purchase a fordson wheatshelf badge from a wrecking yard in quite good condition. I wanted to replace the badge on my dexta. The badge that I obtained is of a New Major. I was wondering if the materials used to make the badge changed. The one for the major is quite a thick metal where the dexta badge is quite thin.

Thanks in advance,
Damon (P.S. you all don't want to know what I paid).

Now you've gone and whetted our appetite to how much you paid so come on, out with it.

Capp,
I paid $5 Australian for it. I was very suprised when the man at the wreckers asked for so little. I know that reproduction ones work out at about $35 Australian at least.

I ordered a new one from Ian Williams --Tractor Panels and Badges on 2 April but haven't got it yet. The paid bill arrived in June, and Email with Ian says its still coming.
Wow, don't get in a hurry with stuff coming from UK.

Hi Wayne! Sorry to hear it is taking so long on the Wheatsheaf Emblem. I bought one from Dunlop Hydruallics in Ireland who gets them from F.J. Williams and NOTHING has taken more than 8 days to recieve from any of the U.K. sources I have dealt with, the Emblem is a thick cast aluminum one that is not threaded nor is it painted I had to use self thread cutting nuts to mount mine as the size of the studs were not able to be threaded due to the taper of them hope you got your pasture cleared and growng the grass for your livestock! Bye for now!

Hi, my Dad has just bought a Dexta and a Super dexta neither have their badges although the Dexta has her original vertical one which is broke in half. Being the typical bloke and farmer i always get stuck with what to buy him for Christmas so thought i'd buy him the badges and some paint for christams for them, which wheatsheaf do i get though as there are 2 different ones , one is pressed and one is cast which do i get??? Thanks in advance, Helen

Thanks Capp.
I do not know what is taking Ian Williams so long. He says the Badge is still coming.

My pasture is COMPLETE! Cleared, sprigged with Coastal Bermuda, and the recent abundance of rain and sunshine has it spreading. All I have to do is finish mow the weeds monthly to allow the sun to get to the spriggs.

By the way, just bought a new style quick attach loader for the Dexta, which will allow me to mount that power steering kit.

Later.

Wayne

Now that's a good buy Damon. There are no junkyards here that have the dexta tractors in them. It would be good if they did though.
