I am looking for an engine driven hydraulic pump, one that would semi-permanantly mount to the crankshaft like you see on a lot of older front end loaders.. where can I find one, what do they cost and where can I find the linkage?

61 fsm
64 fsm 4x4 external drive shafts
Thanks
Bob

You can also bolt on a pump on the right side of the engine. My 57 has a side mounted pump for the backhoe and a front mount pump for the loader. My 56 has two pumps and my 1960 uses one in the front to run both loader and backhoe.

I have a 1956 or 1958 Fordson Major Diesel with front loader and backhoe. I am hoping to use it for landscaping, trenching, and excavation projects on my own property.

My biggest concern is parts. Can you suggest sources?

My current need is for a fuel pump or rebuild kit. It is mechanical, on passenger side of engine and has ceramic filter in glass bowl atop the pump.

thanks for your attention.

I got the shaft for my pump at ford nh. Got a moreflex coupler at a place out in oregon. You also need a drive plate to bolt to the crank shaft. Not sure what you are doing. If you are trying to run a loader there is usualy a bracket to mount the pump on. There are usualy lots of pumps on ebay. Another way to go might be to search the archives for Zane. He is aperently puting together a kit for a belt driven pump. Would be for other fords but might be easier to modify.

Good luck Don
